Hey there! I'm Beatriz, the heart and soul behind Tiza Coaching.
I've spent over 15 years in higher education in top institutions United States. Over the years of my professional career, I have blended expertise in counseling, coaching, leadership, program management, teaching, and student development. I have a master's in counseling and have been trained as a professional coach through the Co-Active Training Institute.
Coaching is art and science that I have crafted for the past 7 years specializing oin academic coaching, but as the coaching profession continues to gro in demand, it feels like the wild west to me. Anyone can say they are professional coaches these days.
I completed my coaching training and I’m working towards being credentialed though the ICF as I feel an ethical responsibility to my clients to demonstrate to them that I have the education and experience necessary to become a coach.
My Story
I was born and grew up in Medellín, Colombia and moved to the United States to finish my degree and have lived here ever since. I speak fluently both English and Spanish and consider myself bicultural; an essential skill when coaching clients in two languages. This mix of experiences has helped me connect with a wide range of amazing clients.
